For pharmacy owners

Pharmacy succession: find the pharmacist who takes it on, in confidence.

Whether you want to sell down, bring in a partner or plan your exit over time, the hard part is the same: finding a pharmacist who will commit to your business and your town. We find them quietly, before anyone knows you are looking.

The problem

A successor does not answer an advertisement.

An owner deciding to bring someone in usually wants one conversation with one suitable person, not a campaign. Advertise the business openly and your staff, your suppliers and the pharmacy down the road all know before the right candidate does.

Outside the capital cities the pool of pharmacists willing to move is small, so a successor has to be found rather than waited for. That is the work we do.

How it works

One conversation with you, then we do the searching.

  1. Tell us, in confidence

Register your interest below. Tell us where the pharmacy is, your timeframe, and what you have in mind — or that you have not decided yet. Nothing goes anywhere until we have spoken.

  2. We describe it without naming you

Candidates see the town or the region only. Where naming the town would identify the business, we use the region.

  3. We go to the pharmacists already looking

We hold a standing list of pharmacists who have registered for partnership and ownership pathways, and we approach pharmacists directly. Most of the ones worth having are employed and are not applying to anything.

  4. Your numbers stay behind an NDA

Financial details are released only after a candidate signs a non-disclosure agreement, with you as the disclosing party, and are held in a secure document room.

  5. You meet them, then you decide

You meet the candidate before anything is agreed, and nothing proceeds without your say-so.

Confidentiality

Your name stays out of it until you decide otherwise.

Town or region only

Your pharmacy is never named in what candidates see. If the town would give it away, we describe the region instead.

Financials under NDA

Nothing about the business’s numbers is shared until the candidate has signed a non-disclosure agreement with you as the disclosing party.

What holds

Employed first, partner later, is usually the one that lasts.

Three of the pharmacies on our case studies page turned a placement into a working partner. Both sides know each other before money changes hands.

The fee

Quoted in writing, before we start.

Every search is different, so we quote it once we have spoken. You will have the fee in writing before you commit to anything.

Bringing in a partner or planning a sale is a financial and legal decision as much as a staffing one. Take your own accounting and legal advice on any deal — we are recruiters, not your advisers.

In confidence

Register your interest.

We will call you to talk it through. Nothing is advertised until you say so.
